Child Poverty
Please take a look at our latest report: The Early Childhood Faith Initiative Report. This collaborative project allowed the Partnership, DFI, and End Poverty Durham the chance to continue to meet their individual goals while setting out to attain the following four objectives:
Raise awareness in the faith community about the importance of child development from birth to age 5; Raise awareness in the faith community about issues that affect children and families with children birth to 5; Raise awareness in the faith community about the resources that are available to Durham residents; and Increase and engage collaboration between the faith community, the Partnership, DFI and End Poverty Durham.

DERC Open House Sessions. The Durham Economic Resource Center is hosting open house sessions at Union Baptist Church on the following days in 2009: Monday, March 30; Friday, April 24; Friday, May 8; and Friday, June 12 (10:30 am - 3:00 pm). We are also open by appointment. Please see our open house flyer for details!
Now Accepting Member Applications. DERC is now accepting membership applications for faith-based, nonprofit and government organizations who would like to partner with us to secure a range of non-food items for a small administrative fee.
DERC Location Announced. The Durham Economic Resource Center is making strides in 2009. We will be opening soon at a location to be announced and we hope to be fully operational in our permanent location (118 Hunt Street, Durham, NC 27701) around the latter portion of 2009.
